Logo Design
Leaf Lounge is a place where plant lovers can come together to enjoy the beauty of nature. With a wide selection of plants, seeds, and gardening books, it's a haven for those who have a green thumb. The addition of a cozy cafe and lounge area makes it the perfect spot to relax, meet fellow enthusiasts, and indulge in delicious bites and beverages. The logo design for Leaf Lounge aims to capture the fun, quirky, and inviting atmosphere of the store. The goal was to create a design with "personality" that welcomed customers with its relaxed and laid-back vibe.

Original Typeface
For this project, I was tasked with creating a logo for Leaf Lounge, a plant shop that also houses a small cafe/lounge. The logo needed to convey the brand's fun, quirky and relaxed vibe. The initial concept was a bold, blocky letter design with tilted letters to reflect the relaxed and fun vibe of the store. I wanted the design itself to look like it was lounging. For the brandmark, I wanted a plant included in the design but didn't want the mark to only be a leaf because I wanted it to stand out from other plant shops. I decided to go with a watering can as a flower pot.
After I brought the sketch into the digital canvas, I went with a typeface that was less blocky and more rounded to better match the lounge-like style I was going for and customized it to fit the design. The tilt of the 'e' and the shape of the 'l' better capture the fun but relaxed look I envisioned in the sketch. The 'l' also resembles the spout on the watering can so it tied together nicely. Finally, I added the tagline in a sans serif type under the icon and name mark to create the full primary logo. This design is easily rearranged to create the secondary or stacked version for various applications.
